What is Speech Therapy?

Speech therapy is a treatment for speech and language disorders. It involves exercises and techniques that improve communication skills. Speech therapy can help individuals with a variety of conditions including speech sound disorders, language disorders, or social communication challenges.

Who Would Benefit From Speech Therapy

Speech therapy can benefit children who have difficulty communicating, understanding language, expressing their thoughts, producing speech sounds, or interacting socially. It can also help children who stutter, have delayed speech or language development, struggle with early literacy skills, or experience feeding and swallowing challenges. Early intervention and personalized therapy can help children build the communication skills and confidence they need to succeed at home, in school, and in everyday life. Screenings and Evaluations

Speech and Language Screener

A speech and language screening is a brief check of your child’s communication skills to determine if further evaluation or support may be beneficial. Our certified and licensed speech-language pathologists assess areas such as speech sound production, language skills, and overall communication development. Screenings help identify potential concerns early and provide families with guidance on the next steps.

Speech and Language Evaluation

A speech and language evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of your child’s communication skills, including speech sound production, language development, and overall communication abilities. Our certified and licensed speech-language pathologists use a combination of standardized assessments, observations, and parent input to identify your child’s strengths, areas of need, and individualized therapy recommendations
